Duties Process and verify all incoming invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders with precision and attention to detail. Enter data accurately into accounting systems such as Workday, SAP, or QuickBooks, ensuring timely payment cycles. Reconcile accounts payable ledger entries with general ledger accounts, performing balance sheet reconciliations regularly. Manage vendor relationships by responding promptly to inquiries and resolving discrepancies related to payments or invoices. Prepare and review journal entries related to accounts payable activities, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls such as SOX. Assist with month-end closing procedures, including account analysis and account reconciliation tasks. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information while handling data entry and processing tasks efficiently. Requirements Proven experience in accounts payable or general accounting roles, preferably within corporate or governmental accounting environments. Strong proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, Quicbooks, Xero, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or UltiPro; familiarity with ADP, Kronos, Paychex, or similar payroll systems is a plus. Excellent knowledge of financial concepts including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and journal entries. Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and spreadsheet management. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Demonstrated numeracy skills along with attention to detail in data entry and account analysis tasks. Experience working within SOX compliance standards and understanding of governmental accounting practices is highly desirable.
