JOB TITLE
Accounting Clerk SUMMARY:
The Accounting Specialist position is designed to assist the Chief Accounting Officer in various aspects of the financial management of the institution. The Accounting Administration Specialist position is designed to provide administrative support to the Branch Administration Department. All branch related information must be maintained in a confidential manner. .ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
Perform account receivable functions such as check deposits and bank reconciliation Process incoming payments and expense reimbursements according to policies and procedures Performing day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, processing and recording accounts receivable data, and inputting payments and invoices Assign invoices to the correct account and verify the amount matches the appropriate document including receipts Perform various account payable functions such as reconcile customers' payments, accounts, and records Investigate and resolve AP and AR records to ensure it is processed with the proper documentation Prepare invoices and post customer payments. Contact with sales managers, CSR, Logistics and/or customers to reconcile any invoices issues. Assist in the preparation of internal financial statements on a monthly basis- Assist in the preparation of recurring external reporting/filings
- Assist in the fixed asset management process
- Complete quarterly branch profitability analysis
- Assist in the Asset Liability Management process
- Prepare various financial analysis/reports in conjunction with monthly reporting
- Assist in the preparation of various ad hoc reports/projects as directed
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience 5 years of experience in a financial institution- Excellent written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills and presentation skills
