full-time Bookkeeper LHH is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our client's growing accounting firm. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day bookkeeping needs of approximately 20 client accounts across various industries. The Bookkeeper will maintain accurate financial records, reconcile accounts, prepare reporting, and provide support to the tax team during tax season. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple client relationships and deadlines. This position is Direct Hire and will pay between $55K and $65K annually. Job Duties Maintain accurate financial records for approximately 20 client accounts. Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions. Perform monthly bank, credit card, and account reconciliations. Record journal entries and ensure financial data is accurate and up to date. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for clients. Review financial information and identify discrepancies or issues requiring correction. Communicate with clients to obtain documentation and answer bookkeeping-related questions. Assist with payroll processing and payroll tax reporting as needed. Support month-end and year-end closing processes. Prepare and organize client financial records for tax return preparation. Assist accountants and tax professionals during tax season by gathering documentation and responding to information requests. Maintain compliance with accounting standards and company procedures. Qualifications Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a public accounting or multi-client environment. Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel. Experience managing bookkeeping activities for multiple clients simultaneously. Understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience assisting with tax preparation or supporting tax season activities is a plus.
