02/50331427/ACCT/9.10.26/LA This position is located in the Business Office in the Houma Subdistrict 02 office. This position functions as DOTD procurement and must possess an extensive knowledge of DOTD procurement and accounting policies and procedures in accordance with Louisiana and Federal guidelines. This position maintains vendor, contract, and payable files. The incumbent of this position participates in a career progression group (CPG) with the highest level of Accounting Technician (AS 611). Incumbent must be self-motivated and be able to perform duties independently with little to no supervision on a daily basis. Accounting Services:
Incumbent receives, prepares, and enters invoices from external vendors for payment on a daily basis and has responsibility for ensuring accurate processing of all payables, which requires the ability to make decisions to ensure coding is consistent with District's budget allocation and District policy. Accountable for accurate budget reporting through auditing expenditures prior to payment; confirming validity of charges; proper coding. Incumbent is responsible for recording contract payables via Standard or Confirming Purchase Order requiring working knowledge of DOTD procurement policies and procedures. Reconcile invoice, goods receipt, and purchase order, process payment. Incumbent audits inventory levels of contract items against Goods Receipt For correct posting to each storage location. Creates and forwards payable package to Financial Services via Content Manager on a daily basis. Incumbent serves as liaison and/or contact person with Vendors as well as internal and external customers, concerning payment information and/or discrepancies. Create and implement Vendor Registration process to ensure successful transition for new vendors.Position Specific Details:
