Job Description
We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a wholesale distribution organization in Pineville, North Carolina. This Long-term Contract opportunity is well suited for someone who combines strong accounting fundamentals with confidence using business systems and handling high-volume transactional work. The position supports day-to-day receivables activity in an in-office environment and will play an important role in maintaining accurate customer accounts, timely cash posting, and consistent collection efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily accounts receivable transactions, including invoice review, payment posting, account reconciliation, and follow-up on outstanding balances.
- Apply incoming cash accurately and investigate discrepancies to ensure customer accounts remain current and properly documented.
- Conduct commercial collections outreach through clear and effective communication with customers to resolve overdue invoices and reduce aging balances.
- Support billing activities by verifying charges, correcting issues, and coordinating with internal teams to address account questions.
- Review cash activity and maintain organized records that support accurate reporting and efficient month-end processes.
- Assist with credit-related analysis by evaluating account status, monitoring payment trends, and escalating concerns when needed.
- Work within accounting systems and spreadsheets to process receivables data efficiently and maintain strong data accuracy.
- Contribute to a collaborative in-office environment while helping stabilize workload coverage amid department turnover.
