Job Description

Accounting Specialist - Accounts Payable & Receivable We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with QuickBooks, Accounts Receivable (AR), and Accounts Payable (AP) and be comfortable managing multiple accounting responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. This position requires someone who is dependable, accurate, organized, and able to stay on top of deadlines while maintaining clear financial records. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Create and send customer invoices and accurately apply incoming payments Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on past-due accounts Enter, review, and process vendor bills and payments Maintain accurate vendor and customer account information Perform account and bank reconciliations Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in QuickBooks Research and resolve billing, payment, and account discrepancies Organize and maintain accounting documentation and records Assist with month-end accounting and reporting Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and internal team members regarding invoices and payments Ensure accounting tasks and deadlines are completed accurately and on time Assist with additional accounting and administrative responsibilities as needed Qualifications Strong QuickBooks experience required Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience Excellent organizational and time-management skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines Strong problem-solving and communication skills Comfortable working independently while also being part of a team Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other standard office programs Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work and is proactive about keeping accounts accurate and organized. The right person will be comfortable following up on outstanding items, identifying discrepancies, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
