Job Description
We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to support day-to-day invoice and payment activities for our team in Westfield, Massachusetts. This Long-term Contract position is well suited for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing high-volume financial transactions with accuracy. The ideal candidate will help maintain smooth accounts payable operations by reviewing invoices, assigning the correct coding, and ensuring timely payment processing.
Responsibilities:
- Review incoming invoices for completeness, accuracy, and proper approval before processing
- Assign correct general ledger or expense codes to invoices in accordance with company procedures
- Enter and process vendor invoices in a timely manner while maintaining strong attention to detail
- Prepare and support scheduled check runs to ensure payments are issued accurately and on time
- Reconcile invoice information with purchase records or supporting documentation when needed
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve billing questions or payment discrepancies
- Maintain organized accounts payable records and documentation for audit and reporting purposes
