Job Description

Accounts Payable Specialist Reports To:
Accounting Manager Position Summary:
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for supporting all aspects of the accounts payable function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. The role also assists with front office reception duties and other clerical tasks assigned by management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Gather, review, and match vendor invoices with packing slips and supporting documentation. Verify invoice accuracy and research discrepancies; communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve issues. Organize and distribute invoices for appropriate review and approval. Enter approved invoices into the company's ERP system for payment processing. Transfer payment proposal data to payment entry and assist in payment processing activities. Match checks and ACH payment information to corresponding invoices. Prepare and mail vendor payments as required. Maintain organized accounts payable records and filing systems. Respond to vendor, employee, and management inquiries regarding accounts payable transactions and payment status. Provide administrative and clerical support to the Accounting Manager and CEO. Greet visitors and provide front-office reception services including answering and forwarding phone calls. Perform other duties, special projects, and tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
May be required to; Walk, sit, stand, use hands, stoop, kneel. May need to lift up to 10 lbs. Must demonstrate proficiency in MS Office programs. Will be required to use computers, printers, phone, copy/fax machine, mail postage meter and calculators.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Understanding of accounts payable processes and basic accounting principles. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and recordkeeping skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. The Accounts Payable Specialist will follow established policies and procedures to ensure accuracy in their work and safety for themselves and their co-workers.
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 40.0 per week
