Accounts Payable Clerk Apply Now Job Description:
Location:
Northborough, Massachusetts CoWorx Staffing Services is seeking a temporary candidate for an Accounts Payable position in the Northborough, MA area. They will be responsible for accurate, timely processing of Accounts Payable, including all invoices for shipped products and/or Vendors. Compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records accurate and complete. Assist with EOM activities and tasks as assigned.
Responsibilities:
Review accounts payable invoices for accuracy and completeness, collaborating with internal departments as needed to resolve discrepancies. Create, post, and distribute invoices in accordance with company procedures. Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. Ensure proper allocation and coding of transactions to the general ledger. Match vendor invoices with purchase orders, packing slips, and supporting documentation while researching and resolving billing discrepancies. Enter vendor invoices into the accounting system, ensuring accurate documentation, approvals, and general ledger coding. Reconcile vendor statements and verify outstanding balances and account activity. Perform a variety of clerical and administrative accounting duties under the direction of the Assistant Controller or Controller. Coordinate new vendor setup requests and verify changes to vendor information to ensure accurate payment processing and account maintenance. Prepare reports and provide supporting documentation for quarterly financial audits. Create and maintain vendor accruals and prepayments as required. Verify invoices and obtain additional supporting documentation from vendors
Desired Background/Skills:
High school diploma required. Minimum of one year of experience utilizing basic accounting procedures and principles.
Desired:
. Post-secondary education preferred. Two or more years of experience in Accounts Payable required. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language effectively. Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly convey and receive ideas, information, and direction. Ability to demonstrate sufficient job knowledge and performance standards to deliver exceptional results. Self-motivated with the ability to consistently meet goals, deadlines, and performance expectations. Commitment to excellence through accurate, high-quality, and error-free work. Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with customers and coworkers, promote teamwork, and resolve conflicts professionally. [li>Dedication to continuous improvement and contributing to company-wide operational success. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail. Familiarity with basic accounting procedures and principles.
