Role Overview We are looking for a part-time Accounts Receivable Specialist to own our billing and collections process. You will send invoices, post payments, follow up on past-due accounts, and keep customer balances accurate and current. This role suits someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable with numbers, and able to have professional, courteous conversations with customers about their accounts. Hours are flexible within the business day. Key Responsibilities Generate and send customer invoices and statements on schedule Post and reconcile incoming payments (checks, cards, ACH, and online payments) Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on past-due balances by phone and email Set up and manage payment plans and autopay enrollment for customers Research and resolve billing discrepancies and customer account questions Maintain accurate customer billing records in our software systems Prepare weekly AR reports and flag collection concerns for management Coordinate with the customer service and operations teams on account issues Help refine our billing and collections processes as we grow What We're Looking For 2+ years of accounts receivable, billing, or bookkeeping experience Working knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software; experience with field service or CRM software is a plus Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers Professional and tactful when speaking with customers about past-due balances Organized, self-directed, and able to manage recurring deadlines with minimal supervision Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets Reliable and accountable Why Join Ransford Join a company with 130 years of history and a strong reputation in Central Massachusetts Work in a business that is actively investing in growth and new systems Flexible part-time schedule with a stable, family-run employer Supportive team and strong operational backing Benefits Paid time off Paid training Flexible schedule 401k + match
