Jobs › Weston, MA › Accounting Assistant Robert Half Accounting Assistant Weston, MA Apply Description We are looking for an Accounting Assistant to support day-to-day financial operations for a Contract position based in Weston, Massachusetts. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing both payables and receivables in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will help maintain accurate records, reconcile accounts, and use tools such as QuickBooks and Excel to keep accounting activities running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documentation, and coordinate timely payment activities.
- Prepare and issue customer invoices while monitoring incoming payments and outstanding balances.
- Reconcile bank statements and accounting records to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain accurate financial data in QuickBooks and ensure transactions are recorded correctly.
- Use Excel to organize reports, track account activity, and support routine financial analysis.
- Assist with account follow-up, including communication related to billing questions and payment status.
- Review accounting entries for completeness and accuracy to support reliable month-to-month recordkeeping. Requirements
- Experience handling both accounts payable and accounts receivable responsibilities.
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks for daily accounting and transaction management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking, reporting, and data review.
- Ability to perform bank reconciliations with strong attention to detail.
- Solid organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for working with internal and external contacts.
