Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support daily financial operations for our team in Woburn, Massachusetts. This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable managing routine accounting activities, maintaining accurate records, and working confidently in QuickBooks. The successful candidate will help keep payables, receivables, and reconciliations organized while contributing to the overall accuracy of financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain complete and accurate financial records by entering and reviewing day-to-day bookkeeping transactions.
- Process vendor invoices, schedule payments, and monitor accounts payable activity to ensure obligations are handled on time.
- Prepare customer invoices, record incoming payments, and follow up on outstanding balances as part of accounts receivable management.
- Reconcile bank and financial account activity regularly to identify discrepancies and keep records aligned.
- Use QuickBooks to manage ledger updates, organize financial data, and support routine accounting tasks.
- Review transaction details for accuracy and resolve inconsistencies through timely research and correction.
- Assist with preparing financial information and supporting documentation needed for internal reporting and month-end review. Requirements
- Demonstrated experience performing bookkeeping duties in a detail-oriented business environment.
- Hands-on proficiency with QuickBooks for daily accounting and recordkeeping tasks.
- Working knowledge of accounts payable processes, including invoice review and payment tracking.
- Familiarity with accounts receivable functions such as billing, cash application, and balance follow-up.
- Experience completing bank reconciliations with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to organize financial information, manage deadlines, and handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a dependable and detail-oriented work style.
