Job Description
Title:
Accounts Payable Clerk Reports to: Contract Accounting Administrator Works with:CEO, Finance Director, Program Directors Job Objectives:
Responsible for the timely processing of all Accounts Payable transactions for the agency, assists with biweekly payment processing, assists with monthly program billing by ensuring timely submission and processing of credit card receipts, prepare donor thank you acknowledgements, maintain online donation applicationResponsibilities:
Set up all vendors in accounting system, ensuring proper coding of vendor type for tax reporting purposes Ensure timely processing and coding of all incoming vendor bills and check requests in Accounts Payable online system Work with Program Managers to ensure timely submission of credit card receipts and review and confirm correct expense/grant coding of receipts Issue vendor payments under the direction of the Contract Accounting Administrator Serve as back up to the Contract Accounting Administrator to process biweekly payroll Responsible for storage and upkeep of all Finance Department records, both physical and electronic Prepare, mail and file donor acknowledgment letters Track online donations and post to the general ledger Assist with periodic fundraising campaign correspondenceQualifications:
Two (2) years Accounts Payable experience in a similar environment Detail oriented; highly organized proven track record of accuracy; ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks Successful experience with computerized financial systems, Excel and Word Excellent interpersonal skills; poise and an ability to interact with diverse populations Ability to maintain confidentiality and to work independently Sensitivity to AIDS issues Ability to be flexible and work as a team player Application Instructions Qualified applicants should submit a resume to: Patricia Price Human Resources Department AIDS Project Worcester, Inc. 165 Southbridge Street Worcester, MA 01608Email:
