Role Description The Receptionist/Accounts Payable Clerk is a full-time, on-site role based in Chesapeake City, MD. This role includes greeting visitors, answering and directing phone calls, managing incoming and outgoing mail, and maintaining a professional front office environment. Day-to-day responsibilities also include processing vendor invoices, matching purchase orders, preparing payments, reconciling statements, and assisting with basic bookkeeping tasks. The individual will maintain organized records, update vendor information, and support communication between the accounting team and other departments. Additional tasks may include scheduling appointments, supporting administrative projects, and handling confidential information with discretion. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong administrative and organizational skills, including receptionist/front desk experience, phone etiquette, scheduling, and document management. Candidates should possess accounts payable and basic accounting abilities, such as invoice processing, payment preparation, reconciliation, and record keeping. Candidates should possess proficiency with office software and tools, including word processing, spreadsheets, email applications, and multi-line phone systems. Candidates should possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, including clear written and verbal communication and a professional, customer-focused demeanor. Candidates should possess attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and handle confidential information responsibly. High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary coursework in business, accounting, or office administration is beneficial. Previous experience in an office, accounting 3 years is preferred.
