This role is ideal for someone who brings strong AP experience, takes ownership of their work, and is looking for an opportunity to grow within a fast-paced and evolving organization. This position will play a critical role in the day-to-day accounts payable process while also helping improve workflows, strengthen controls, and support ongoing operational and system improvements. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, analytical, and capable of thinking beyond simple data entry and invoice processing. Key Responsibilities Process vendor invoices accurately and timely Review invoices, coding, approvals, and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy Manage vendor relationships and respond to inquiries in a professional and timely manner Assist in processing weekly check runs& ACH payments Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Assist with credit card expense processing and reconciliations Support month-end close activities, including AP accruals and account reconciliations Partner with project managers, operations teams, and accounting staff to ensure proper expense coding and timely processing Assist with maintaining and improving AP processes, workflows, and internal controls Support implementation and optimization of ERP and operational systems Maintain organized and accurate AP records and documentation Assist with audit requests and preparation of supporting schedules Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects as needed Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of accounts payable experience required Construction or project accounting experience strongly preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Strong Microsoft Excel skills preferred Experience with ViewPoint Spectrum, ServiceTitan, and Sage Intacct is a plus Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving and communication skills Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams High level of professionalism, accountability, and follow-through What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who wants more than a transactional AP role. The ideal candidate is dependable, process-oriented, and eager to grow professionally within the organization. This individual should be comfortable taking initiative, identifying opportunities for improvement, and contributing to the continued development of the accounting function as the company grows. Work Environment and Physical Requirements Primarily office-based position. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and use standard office equipment for extended periods. Frequent use of a computer, keyboard, telephone, and other office equipment. Must be able to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and electronically. Ability to occasionally lift and carry files, documents, or office materials up to 20 pounds.
