Overview Join our dynamic team as an Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist, where you'll play a vital role in managing and streamlining our company's accounts payable processes. Duties Process and verify incoming invoices using various financial software. Manage accounts payable transactions through accounting systems to ensure timely payments. Perform detailed account reconciliations and journal entries to maintain accurate general ledger records. Utilize Excel data analysis skills, including formulas like spreadsheet functions, to analyze invoice data and identify discrepancies. Conduct account reconciliation activities regularly to ensure accuracy across accounts payable and general ledger accounts. Support accounts receivable management processes when necessary and assist with month-end closing activities. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information while adhering to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance requirements. Experience Proven accounting and finance experience with a focus on accounts payable processing in a corporate environment. Hands-on experience with financial software such as Workday, QuickBooks, Quicken, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or similar platforms. Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and technical accounting concepts including double-entry bookkeeping. Familiarity with accounts payable automation tools and invoice processing workflows to enhance efficiency. Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliation, journal entries, and analysis using Excel spreadsheets with advanced formulas. Experience working within public accounting or large enterprise environments is highly desirable. Excellent data entry skills combined with attention to detail for handling confidential information accurately.
