Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Part Time Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to apply your accounting expertise in a flexible, part-time capacity while supporting our organization's financial health. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, experience with various accounting software, and a passion for precise financial management. Duties Record and process journal entries using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or similar systems Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows efficiently Prepare and analyze financial reports, including budgets and financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Process payroll and handle related documentation with attention to detail Maintain general ledger accounting and ensure compliance with governmental and non-profit accounting standards Conduct account analysis, account reconciliation, and double entry bookkeeping to uphold data integrity Utilize spreadsheets for data analysis, reporting, and record-keeping purposes Assist with governmental accounting requirements and non-profit financial reporting as needed Skills Proven experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online) is a must ! Expertise in bank reconciliation, account analysis, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation Proficiency in excel spreadsheet software for data management and reporting purposes Familiarity with payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable management, and account reconciliation processes Excellent understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, journal entries, budgeting, and financial report writing Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks Join us to contribute your bookkeeping expertise in a vibrant environment that values precision, efficiency, and professional growth.
