Job Description

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will help support the organization's financial health by performing precise bookkeeping tasks, reconciling accounts, and preparing essential financial reports. Responsibilities Manage daily bookkeeping operations using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Appfolio for property management and handle inter company finances. Record and verify journal entries, ensuring proper debits and credits in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to maintain accurate financial data in a timely. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions promptly and accurately. Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently. Prepare financial reports, including statements related to budgets, cash flow, and other key financial metrics. Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and governmental accounting requirements as needed. Qualifications Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles within corporate or non-profit environments is ideal. Strong proficiency in accounting software. Solid understanding of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting. Knowledge of GAAP standards and governmental accounting practices preferred. Ability to perform bank reconciliations, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliation accurately. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; proficiency in 10-key typing is advantageous. Experience with payroll processing, tax compliance, and budget management is highly desirable.
