Accounts Payable Associate Reputable, growing, full-service fleet/trailer dealer and parts supplier, in business for over 35 years, specializing in trailers and other heavy-duty commercial vehicles, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Associate to work out of our South Portland, ME location. We are a small, locally owned, single-location company who cares for, and takes care of our employees. The Accounts Payable Associate will manage our day-to-day accounts payable activities. This is not an entry-level position. At least three years of hands-on, full-cycle accounts payable experience is required. The position is 8 -5, Monday through Friday, with flexibility if needed. Primary duties include:

Oversee entire Accounts Payable process including; receiving and processing vendor invoices; matching packing/receiving slips with invoices; verify invoices for accuracy; code invoices with accounts for distribution to the general ledger; perform data entry of invoices into Business System; reconcile unpaid invoices to vendor statements; work with vendors regarding payment of invoices, purchase discrepancies and invoice pricing problems. Perform weekly check run. Process all incoming Payments, including scanning of checks and the occasional cash deposit at our local bank. Essential Responsibilities Minimum 3 years' experience in comparable positions Strong communication skills; attention to details Ability to multitask and work as a team player Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
