Do you enjoy keeping things on track, solving problems, and supporting a team? Kennebec Behavioral Health (KBH) is looking for an A/P & Accounting Specialist to join our Financial Services team. Established in 1960, KBH has been named one of the Best Places to Work in Maine for the last 6 years and is proud to be serving Central Maine as a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) . The position is located at 12 Park St, Waterville, Maine. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in accuracy, and wants to play an important behind-the-scenes role in supporting an organization that makes a difference in the lives of people throughout our communities. The A/P & Accounting Specialist provides accounting and clerical support to KBH's Fiscal Services Department, with responsibilities that include: Process accounts payable documentation, daily vouchers, and worksheets Assist with general ledger functions and prepare journal entries Research, track, and resolve accounting discrepancies and documentation issues Maintain checkbook registers and related financial records Prepare weekly cash statements Assist with audit preparation and other accounting projects Collaborate with team members across the organization to keep financial operations running smoothly
Qualifications:
Associate degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field; equivalent experience may be substituted. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with strong computer skills and comfort learning financial systems. Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team member with a dependable, professional, and solution-oriented approach. At KBH, every role contributes to our mission. Pay:
$23.50 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
