Part-Time Bookkeeper & Accounts Payable Coordinator Cass City Dental and Oral Wellness (James D. Thomas, DDS, PC) Part-Time | 12-15 Hours per

Week Pay:

$18.00

•22.00 per hour, based on experience About the Position Cass City Dental and Oral Wellness is seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper & Accounts Payable Coordinator to assist with the day-to-day financial recordkeeping for our dental practices. This position is ideal for an experienced bookkeeper who enjoys working independently, staying organized, and making sure bills, bank accounts, vendor records, and financial documentation are accurate and up to date. The bookkeeper will work closely with practice management and our outside accountant. This is a trusted position involving access to confidential business and financial information, so discretion, accuracy, dependability, and integrity are extremely important. Primary Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Open, sort, and review incoming business mail Identify invoices, statements, checks, financial notices, and other time-sensitive correspondence Review bills and ensure approved invoices are paid accurately and on time Enter bills, payments, deposits, and other appropriate transactions into QuickBooks Prepare and print checks through QuickBooks for approved expenses Maintain accurate vendor information and payment records Collect monthly statements from vendors, banks, credit cards, loans, and other financial accounts Reconcile checking, savings, credit card, and other applicable accounts in QuickBooks Compare vendor statements with invoices and payments recorded in QuickBooks Identify missing invoices, duplicate charges, discrepancies, or past-due balances Contact vendors when necessary to obtain statements, invoices, credits, or clarification of account discrepancies Maintain organized electronic and/or paper records of invoices, receipts, statements, checks, and other financial documentation Prepare and organize monthly financial documentation for our outside accountant Communicate with the accountant regarding requested statements, reports, and supporting documentation Notify management of unusual charges, discrepancies, overdue bills, account issues, or other financial concerns Assist with additional bookkeeping and financial recordkeeping duties as needed

Qualifications Required:

Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping, accounting, or similar financial recordkeeping experience Hands-on experience using QuickBooks Experience with accounts payable and bank/account reconciliation Ability to accurately enter and categorize financial transactions Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to maintain recurring weekly and monthly deadlines Comfortable working independently with limited supervision Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding business and financial information Dependable attendance and professional conduct

Preferred:

3+ years of bookkeeping experience Previous bookkeeping experience for a small business or professional office Experience working directly with an outside accountant or CPA Experience reconciling multiple bank, credit card, vendor, and other financial accounts Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills Previous dental or healthcare office experience is helpful but not required A college degree, CPA license, or formal accounting degree is not required . We value practical bookkeeping experience, accuracy, reliability, and demonstrated QuickBooks knowledge. Schedule Approximately 12-15 hours per week Part-time position Schedule to be established with the selected candidate Position requires consistent availability to ensure bills, reconciliations, and monthly financial responsibilities are completed by their deadlines Compensation $18.00

•22.00 per hour Starting compensation will be based on the candidate's bookkeeping experience, QuickBooks proficiency, and ability to independently perform the responsibilities of the position. What We're Looking For The right person for this position is someone who is naturally organized and notices when something doesn't look right. We are looking for someone who can be trusted to keep our financial records organized, make sure bills do not fall through the cracks, reconcile accounts accurately, communicate with vendors and our accountant when necessary, and bring discrepancies or concerns to management's attention. This position requires someone who is comfortable taking ownership of routine bookkeeping responsibilities while understanding that significant financial decisions and approvals remain with management.
