Job Description

Accounts Payable Specialist Job Summary A leading manufacturing company is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to manage the day-to-day accounts payable process and support accurate and timely financial operations. This role is responsible for processing and reconciling invoices, maintaining supplier records, resolving discrepancies, and supporting expense reporting and other accounting projects. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, dependable, and comfortable working with accounting systems and financial data. Responsibilities Manage the accounts payable process, including reviewing, coding, entering, and reconciling supplier invoices and payment lists. Create and maintain supplier records and ensure required documentation is accurate and up to date. Research and resolve purchase order, contract, invoice, payment, and documentation discrepancies and ensure appropriate credits are received. Process employee expense reports and requests for advances in accordance with company policies. Reconcile and analyze accounts payable-related ledger accounts and maintain accurate financial records. Utilize the company's ERP and accounting systems to process transactions and maintain accurate information. Provide support for special projects and other financial activities as needed.

Competitive salary and benefits based on experience Qualifications Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience considered. At least one year of accounting or accounts payable experience. Working knowledge of accounting principles, computerized accounting systems, and financial data entry. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with ERP systems preferred. Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work accurately in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated integrity, dependability, initiative, and customer service skills.
