Fick & Sons is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable GL Bookkeeper to join our Corporate Accounting team. This position plays an important role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day accounting operations for our growing organization. The GL Bookkeeper will be responsible for a variety of general ledger and accounting functions, including reconciling transactions, preparing journal entries, assisting with month-end closing, and maintaining accurate financial records across multiple company entities. Responsibilities General Accounting Reviews accounting entries for accuracy, completeness, and proper account classification. Completes accounting records through the trial balance process. Performs monthly bank reconciliations. Performs monthly balancing and reconciliation of general ledger accounts. Researches and resolves discrepancies between bank statements, subsidiary records, and the general ledger. Ensures transactions are properly posted to the appropriate general ledger accounts. Assists with maintaining accurate and complete general ledger records. Compiles and prepares accounting reports and summaries reflecting business activity. Prepares reports related to cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable, accounts receivable, profit and loss, and other financial information pertinent to company operations. Administrative Support Answers or assists with general telephone inquiries and directs calls Creates and prints fax cover sheets, memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents as needed. Performs general clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, scanning, organizing, and collating documents. Assists with other administrative tasks as assigned.
