What You'll Do Process Documentation Learn accounting workflows across multiple areas of the department. Create, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Meet with team members to document existing processes. Keep documentation current as procedures evolve. Cross Training and Operational Support Become proficient in multiple accounting functions. Provide backup coverage during vacations, illnesses, and other employee absences. Assist with workload balancing during month end, year end, and other peak periods. Help ensure critical accounting functions continue without interruption. Accounting Support Assist with account reconciliations. Research outstanding balances and discrepancies. Follow up with internal departments and external customers as needed. Support month end and year end accounting activities. Assist with administrative and accounting related projects. Process Improvement Monitor adherence to established procedures. Help identify opportunities to improve efficiency and consistency. Support implementation of new processes and workflow improvements. Assist leadership with special projects and departmental initiatives. What We're Looking For Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to learn multiple accounting functions. Comfortable documenting processes and creating clear written procedures. Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word. Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team. Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred. Previous accounting, bookkeeping, administrative, or office experience is a plus. Experience with accounting software or ERP systems is beneficial but not required.
