Job Description
Position Summary As part of the company's continued growth, the Accounting Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the organization. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounting transactions, supporting month-end close activities, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. The ideal candidate has at least one year of accounting experience, a strong foundation in accounting principles, and a desire to grow professionally while helping build scalable financial processes that support the company's continued expansion. Accounts Payable & Receivable Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies. Generate customer invoices and monitor collections. Assist in managing accounts receivable aging and follow-up activities. General Accounting Prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely. Maintain the general ledger and supporting schedules. Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances. Assist with fixed asset tracking and depreciation schedules. General Office Support Responsible for daily bank runs to drop off deposits and loan payments. Receive deliveries Ordering of supplies and other office necessities Other tasks as assigned by the Manager. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 1+ years of accounting experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger accounting, bookkeeping, or a related finance function. Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems/AI awareness. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
