Accounting Specialist Summary As an Accounting Specialist at Auto Parts Mississippi (APMM), you will be integral to our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in our accounting practices. This role is vital in supporting our mission to maintain financial integrity and contribute to the company's growth. Accounting Specialist Responsibilities Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports. Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly. Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly. Assist with accrual accounting processes and ensure compliance with relevant standards. Support financial audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. Mentor junior staff on accounting practices and procedures as needed. Accounting Specialist Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience . Proven experience in accrual accounting and financial reporting. Strong understanding of bank reconciliation processes. Excellent analytical skills for account analysis and problem-solving. Familiarity with public accounting principles is a plus but not mandatory. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. Experience in corporate finance or private equity is beneficial but not required.
