Job Description

Skilled Payroll/Human Resources/Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable needed for busy manufacturing facility located in Meridian, MS. If you are a detail-oriented professional with a strong work background we invite you to apply for this position. Job Description includes, but not limited to:
  • Supervise and verify accuracy of accounts payable, cash, accounts receivable, and payroll. Payroll includes Federal and State quarterly and annual report filings and Forms W2 and 1099's, payment of all employment related taxes. Payroll filings are for multiple states.
  • Cash and Accounts Receivable details are maintained in route software. Route software is "live," driver daily sales and cash reconciled by office staff daily.
  • "In Transit" cash for other freezer/plant locations not dropping route bags at main office are identified by driver and location until all route bags are processed.
  • Sales tax and use tax filings for Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, and Florida monthly. Any sales requiring additional state taxes reported/paid require registering with the state and applying for tax/business licenses/accounts. Business licenses renewals and personal property tax valuations submitted annually (reconciled to balance sheet and depreciation schedule).
  • IFTA reporting, Apportioned Tag additions/deletions/renewals, UCR and FMCSA filings.
  • Training/supervision of all office staff - accounts receivable, payroll, accounts payable, customer service and receptionist.
  • Work with local computer service company for office IT and equipment support.
  • Employee employment records, new customer setup/sales tax information, and vendor setup/tax records.
  • Administrative support for General Manager, Sales Managers, Plant Managers as needed.
