Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated OnSite Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations on-site, supporting both operational efficiency and compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and possess a strong foundation in various accounting systems and financial concepts. Your expertise will help us maintain precise financial data, facilitate smooth payroll processing, and support overall fiscal health. Duties Manage daily bookkeeping activities including data entry, journal entries, and account reconciliations using software such as QuickBooks Online, Metrc and Excel Perform bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and account analysis to ensure all records are accurate and up-to-date. Reconcile payroll accurately, including calculating wages, deductions, and benefits while ensuring compliance with payroll regulations. Document accounts payable and accounts receivable functions efficiently to maintain healthy cash flow. Maintain the general ledger by recording transactions in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and accounting standards. Prepare financial reports, summaries, and supporting documentation for management review. Conduct periodic audits of financial data to identify discrepancies or errors and implement corrective actions promptly. Support governmental accounting requirements and tax preparation activities as needed. Skills Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), Excel and other financial management tools. Strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and account reconciliation procedures. Experience with payroll Reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable documentation, bank reconciliation, and general ledger accounting. Knowledge of GAAP standards, governmental accounting practices, and financial reporting requirements. Ability to work efficiently with spreadsheets (Excel or similar), including creating formulas and managing large data sets. Familiarity with financial concepts such as budgeting, account analysis, and technical accounting practices. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to perform 10-key typing accurately under time constraints. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
