Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Bookkeeper and Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. Responsibilities Maintain accurate and timely bookkeeping records using accounting software such as QuickBooks Desktop, and other financial systems. Process payroll efficiently, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and standards, including GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Manage accounts payable and receivable by verifying invoices, preparing journal entries, and performing account analysis. Reconcile bank statements regularly through bank reconciliation procedures to ensure consistency across all accounts. Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for internal review and external reporting. Conduct general ledger accounting activities such as journal entries, double entry bookkeeping, and ledger maintenance. Assist with budgeting processes by analyzing expenses and preparing forecasts to support organizational financial planning. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations while maintaining detailed documentation for audits or reviews. Minimum 1-2 years of verifiable bookkeeping experience, including bank and credit card reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivableProficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), ADP, and other financial management tools. Strong knowledge of corporate accounting principles, non-profit accounting practices, GAAP standards, and public accounting procedures. Experience with payroll processing systems and payroll software to accurately manage employee compensation. Expertise in account reconciliation techniques including bank reconciliation, general ledger reconciliation, and account analysis. Skilled in using spreadsheets for data analysis, budgeting, report writing, and financial modeling. Deep understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, journal entries, double entry bookkeeping, and account classifications. Ability to perform balance sheet reconciliation accurately while adhering to accounting standards. Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
