Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to assist with office setup and provide light bookkeeping support using various accounting software and systems. This role is perfect for someone eager to develop their skills in financial management, organization, and administrative tasks within a dynamic environment. You will play a vital part in establishing an efficient office workspace while ensuring accurate financial record-keeping and data entry. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounting practices, financial software, and office management. Responsibilities Assist with setting up the office space, including organizing supplies, furniture, and technology infrastructure to create a productive work environment Perform light bookkeeping tasks such as data entry, maintaining financial records, and updating spreadsheets Manage basic accounts payable and accounts receivable entries using accounting software like QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or similar systems Reconcile bank statements, balance sheets, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards such as GAAP Process payroll information accurately and efficiently while adhering to payroll processing procedures Prepare simple financial reports and summaries to support ongoing financial analysis and decision-making Maintain organized records of journal entries, debits & credits, account analysis, and account reconciliation activities Qualifications Prior experience or familiarity with bookkeeping or basic accounting principles is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) for data management and reporting purposes Knowledge of popular accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, or similar platforms is highly desirable Understanding of fundamental financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, bank reconciliation, and general ledger accounting Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping and data entry Ability to learn new software quickly and adapt to evolving office procedures Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude toward supporting team needs Join us in creating an organized workspace while developing essential skills in accounting systems and financial management.
