Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Fayetteville, North Carolina. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization while advancing your career in financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction-related accounting, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with accounting software.
Responsibilities:
  • Process and manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Review, code, and enter invoices into the accounting system for timely payment.
  • Conduct regular check runs and reconcile vendor accounts to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors to manage certified payroll documentation and ensure compliance.
  • Utilize accounting software, such as QuickBooks Desktop, Sage, or Masterbuilders, for financial operations.
  • Address and resolve discrepancies or issues related to invoices and payments.
  • Maintain organized records of all accounts payable activities for reporting purposes.
  • Assist with financial audits by providing relevant accounts payable documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth payment processes.
  • Support the business office manager with additional accounting tasks as needed.
