Job Description

Overview:
The Boys & Girls Club of Henderson County is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time Bookkeeper, 20-29 hours a week. This position will play a crucial role in managing the day-to-day financial transactions, specifically focusing on accounts payable and accounts receivable. This position will also assist with grant reporting, specifically federal/state grants.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role preferred. Proficient in using accounting software; QuickBooks Online strongly preferred. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Payroll:
Process bi-weekly payroll
Accounts Payable:
Process vendor invoices in a timely and accurate manner. Reconcile purchase orders with invoices to ensure consistency. Prepare and process payments, including checks and electronic transfers. Reconcile/process monthly credit card statements. Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all payables.
Accounts Receivable:
Enter deposits in QuickBooks. Provide deposit reports to Resource Development.
Grant Reporting:
Proactively collect and organize documents including timesheets, and invoices for grant reporting. Assist with grant reporting needs as necessary; we have several federal/state grants that require monthly reporting.
Financial Recordkeeping:
Maintain accurate and organized financial records. Assist in the preparation of financial reports as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure financial data integrity.
Time:
20-29 hours a week.
Pay:
$24-$26/hr. based on experience
