The successful candidate will monitor the daily workflow of assigned area, ensuring that invoices are processed in a timely manner according to terms. Provide training and be the "go to" person for issues/questions related to assigned tasks. Take on higher-level responsibilities associated with the check run process and expense report processing.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Rotate weekly creation and review of Cash Projection file to share with the business. Collaborate with team Leads and A/P Management to resolve discrepancies. Work with the A/P Manager to review vendor invoices/credits prior to check runs. Process invoices as assigned; Analyze and resolve discrepancies. Comply with payment deadlines to ensure available discounts are taken. Provide training for and be the "go to" person for departmental inquiries including Concur expenses, paint vendor uploads, check requests, etc. as requested by management. Prepare and process payments for vendor payables in accordance with internal policies as requested by management. Assist with the preparation of check run batches. Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from both internal/external customers. Serve as backup for other associates when needed. Troubleshoot and resolve issues that impact Accounts Payable with the assistance of the A/P Lead or A/P Manager as needed. Communicate effectively with A/P Lead and A/P Manager and provide information related to issues, roadblocks, and team accomplishments. Assist with special projects and process improvements as assigned. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma/ GED 5+ years of accounts payable experience Excellent communication skills, both oral and written Strong computer skills and proficient in the use of Excel, Word and Outlook. Ability to manage multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment while meeting established deadlines. Excellent organizational, planning and leadership skills Ability to interact with co-workers, management, vendors and others in a courteous and professional manner
