We are proudly Employee Owned and seeking to grow our accounting and administration team with a dependable, self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. As an Accounting Assistant, you will be an integral part of our corporate accounting team. You will collaborate closely with the controller, Accounting Manager, Department Managers, and other team members, customers, and vendors, to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in the accounting process support.
Responsibilities:
This position will engage in: Posting daily cash receipts, auto-pay bills, customer invoices, and vendor invoices Assist with accounts receivable collections & reporting. Perform accurate & complete data entry of financial transactions into the accounting software, including month end adjustments and account reconciliations. Process new vendor credit applications and provide monthly vendor statement reconciliation including resolution of discrepancies. Assist with credit card statement processing. Maintain subcontractor insurance compliance and documentation. Assist with company prequalification compliance. Assist with documentation for internal and external audits. Support other accounting or organizational requirements as needed and assigned.

Plans Skills and Experience of Successful Candidates:
Minimum:
Associate's degree in business and/or Accounting with 2+ years of relevant construction accounting data entry experience, or 5+ years' experience in construction accounting. Must have a working, hands-on knowledge of job cost accounting, accounting cycles, and possess the ability to meet important deadlines. Must practice confidentiality and sensitivity with accounting, financial, operational information, discussions, and documentation. Essential skills include strong written & verbal communication skills, speed & accuracy and an eye for detail when completing tasks in a timely manner. Position requires daily use of Excel, Word, Microsoft Teams, Google, Outlook email, Internet navigation skills. Prior use of Acumatica accounting software is a plus.
