Job Description

Come join our team at SchoolCare! We are looking for a professional, energetic, customer service and team-focused individual to join our finance staff, as a full-time Bookkeeper ! Interested candidates must submit a cover letter with the hourly pay rate sought, along with a detailed resume. Minimum requirements include at least an Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, or related degree field with 3+ years of recent experience in finance; Bachelor's degree is preferred. Competence in the use of QuickBooks and MS Office (particularly Excel) is essential, with experience using Adobe Acrobat strongly preferred as well. Other important qualifications include exceptional attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple projects & deadlines, excellent customer service skills, and a desire to excel! Responsibilities include processing daily accounts payable/receivable transactions, account reconciliations, along with administrative and customer service support. I. Accounts Payable and Receivable (70%) a. Accounts Payable and Receivable Follows established accounting procedures and initiates all items with independence Records checks received in check log each day Processes accounts receivable items in a timely manner with exceptional attention to detail Posts receipts daily in Premium Billing and QuickBooks Processes accounts payables items to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial information Sets up ACH payments with the bank, and assists with check printing, for vendors Compiles monthly employee credit card expense reports and routes for review & approval Process other general workflow items for supervisory review Initiate receivables report review to present outstanding balances to finance team and Member Care, and contacts members to collect outstanding balances b. Monthly Account Reconciliations Performs monthly account reconciliations in QuickBooks Completion of New Hampshire Retirement System reconciliation to Premium Billing Monthly FSA reconciliation to General Ledger Member Contribution Account Reconciliation Provide other accounting support work as assigned II. Administration (15%) Greets visitors to the office, receives packages, and provides general office support to the organization Receives and distributes incoming mail and fax communications Maintains required electronic files and records Supports the finance team with audit preparation and reporting Assists with bulk mailing projects for finance and to support the Member Care team Maintains inventory of office supplies and restocks items proactively Supports functional areas of the organization on an as-needed basis Such other duties of an administrative nature that are deemed necessary III. Member/Participant Support (15%) Provide live telephone customer service for retiree and COBRA participant payments in the e-billing system Proactively contact members to collect payments for accounts that are in arrears Support Member Care as requested by scanning items into the workflow, performing data entry, and quality assurance processes We are a dynamic team, supporting individuals' professional growth and development. Physical Setting:
Office in Manchester, NH (candidates must be local to the Manchester, NH area) Position has the potential to go to a hybrid work arrangement up to 2 designated days per week after successful completion of a probationary period, as work permits
Schedule:
Monday to Friday; 8:30am - 4:30pm (with a half hour unpaid meal period)
