Job Description
Accounting & Operations Specialist Pastry Chefs Boutique - Brick, NJ Join Pastry Chefs Boutique , a fast-growing premium e-commerce and B2B company serving pastry chefs and hospitality professionals across the U.S. We specialize in high-end tools, molds, packaging, and tabletop products sourced from leading European and international brands. We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting & Operations Specialist to support our day-to-day financial and operational processes. This is a hands-on role at the heart of the company, ideal for someone who enjoys structure, accuracy, and working closely with management in a growing business environment. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Finance (Core Responsibilities) Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable (vendor invoices, customer payments, credits). Prepare and post journal entries and ensure accurate general ledger records. Perform bank and credit card reconciliations on a regular basis. Assist with month-end close and basic financial reporting. Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation for CPA review and tax preparation. Support sales tax and compliance documentation (with external accountant). Payroll & Administration Process payroll accurately and on time. Maintain employee records and support basic HR/payroll-related administration. Assist with expense tracking and reimbursements. Purchasing & Vendor Support Create and manage purchase orders for vendors and suppliers. Track incoming invoices and coordinate with operations/logistics when needed. Maintain vendor records and pricing documentation. Operations Support Support internal processes and help improve efficiency as the company grows. Work closely with management on day-to-day operational priorities. Provide general accounting and administrative support as needed in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field . 2-5 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance support roles (SME / e-commerce / distribution preferred). Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (AP/AR, reconciliations, journal entries). Hands-on experience with QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar accounting software . Solid Excel skills and comfort working with numbers and reports. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
Pay:
