full-time Job description Accounting Specialist - Edison, NJ (Heavy AP) $50,000-$57,000 Open to 1-2 yrs experience A company in Edison, NJ is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support daily accounting operations. This position involves accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, month-end close support, and reporting.
Responsibilities:
Post transactions, invoices, receipts, and payments. Apply customer payments and process credit memos. Perform bank and credit card reconciliations. Assist with AP/AR, month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations. Support costing, allocations, and variance analysis. Prepare reports using Excel and accounting software. Work with internal departments to support accounting operations.
Qualifications:
2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and lookups. Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger functions. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Compensation:
$50,000 - $57,000 , with flexibility for the right candidate.
