Accounting Bookkeeper Controller About the Role We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accounting & Finance professional to fully own the company's financial function. This role ensures the completeness, accuracy, and integrity of all financial statements, while providing insight to support operational and strategic decision-making. You will manage daily accounting operations, monthly close, project cost tracking, and cash flow oversight for a growing retail business. Key Responsibilities Own the full accounting cycle: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial statements Prepare and review monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting packages Prepare weekly/monthly sales reports and other financial analyses Manage banking relationships and oversee cash flow forecasting Handle sales tax filings and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations Partner with outside CPA on annual tax filings Administer business insurance renewals and documentation Improve processes, strengthen internal controls, and identify efficiencies Support operational teams with financial insight and recommendations Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required 2+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience Proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas) Experience in retail or inventory environments a plus Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization Able to work independently and communicate effectively with a small team What Success Looks Like Accurate, timely monthly close Clear and actionable reporting for leadership Strong cash flow monitoring and forecasting High trust and collaboration across the organization Work Environment Full-time | 40 hours/week | On-site office environment
