Job Description

Job Overview Small Commercial General Contracting Company in business over 40+ years seeking an experienced bookkeeper with experience in cost accounting methods, general journal entries and general bookkeeping in the construction industry. Part-time approx. 15 - 20/week.
Note:
401(k) benefit will only apply to a minimum of 1,000 hours per year (20 hours/week), after the waiting period. Duties Manage, maintain and processing of weekly outsourced payroll including journal entries. NJ Prevailing Wage payrolls and recording in the NJ Wage Hub. Managing and maintaining Accounts Payable and Receivable. AIA invoicing & project setup in QuickBooks. Bank reconciliations Maintain HR employee documentation Prepare tax documents for accountant Prepare for yearly insurance audits Administer 401(k) plan including weekly and quarterly filings and end of year reporting. Preparation and filing of quarterly Sales Tax returns. Familiarity with Customer Portals, Ariba, Oracle and Taulia. Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook in addition to accounting software, QuickBooks.
Pay:
$35.00 - $40.00 per hour
