Job Description

The role A consumer products company is adding a part-time accounts payable and administrative assistant to support its accounting function. You'll handle the day-to-day transaction work — entering invoices, matching to receipts, filing, and keeping vendor records clean — so the accounting team can focus on the close. This is steady, detail-driven work with a defined scope and a consistent weekly schedule. What you'll do Enter accounts payable invoices accurately and code them to the correct accounts Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation, and flag discrepancies Maintain vendor files, W-9s, and contact and terms records Prepare payment runs for review and approval File and organize accounting documentation, both digital and physical Assist with expense reports, statement reconciliations, and general accounting administration Support the accountant with data gathering and routine reporting What you need 2+ years in accounts payable, bookkeeping support, or accounting administration Accurate, high-volume data entry — this role rewards precision over speed Working knowledge of QuickBooks or a comparable accounting system Comfortable in Excel (sorting, filtering, basic formulas) Organized, dependable, and able to work independently on a set schedule Discreet with confidential financial information Nice to have Retail, wholesale, or inventory-based business experience Exposure to purchase orders and three-way matching Familiarity with e-commerce order and payment flows
Pay:
$24.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week
