General Ledger Maintenance:
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, including the review of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Perform account reconciliations and analyses, ensuring all corporate transactions are accurately recorded in the general ledger.
Inventory Analysis & Reconciliation:
Partner with store managers and distribution centers and observe physical inventory on a timely basis to monitor, track, and reconcile inventory levels, shrink, and cost of goods sold (COGS)
Budgeting and Variance Analysis:
Collaborate with the Corporate Reporting Group and provide monthly variance reports comparing actual store performance to budgets and forecasts.
Audit Support:
Coordinate internal and external financial audits and provide the necessary documentation and schedules to auditors. Qualifications /
Skills:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
Experience:
3-5 years of professional accounting experience. Previous experience in the retail, supermarket, or grocery sector is a major plus.
Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, formulas). Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
Competencies:
Strong understanding and working knowledge of GAAP Accounting Principle Strong research and analytical skills Exceptional organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and a strict commitment to data confidentiality. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with other team members, departments, stores, vendors, and corporate executives.
