Job Description
Richard E. Pierson Construction Co. is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. This is an entry-to-mid-level position responsible for processing invoices, managing payments, and working closely with Project Managers and other internal teams to keep accounts payable organized and up to date. Responsibilities Process, code, and enter invoices accurately and in a timely manner Review invoices for accuracy, proper approvals, and supporting documentation Prepare and process checks and other payments Communicate with project managers regarding invoices, approvals, and payment questions Track outstanding invoices and follow up on missing information or approvals Maintain organized and accurate AP records Assist with vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced construction environment Perform other accounting and administrative duties as needed Qualifications 1-3+ years of accounts payable, accounting, or related experience preferred Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage a high volume of invoices and multiple priorities Strong communication skills, particularly through email Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with project managers and other departments Construction or contractor accounting experience is a plus
