Job Description
Overview Due to rapid expansion we are seeking personnel to manage our high volume of client intakes and billing. The medical billing specialist with experience plays a crucial role in the healthcare system by managing the financial processes associated with patient care and the staff to work as a team. The position has diverse duties from the start of intake to end of billing cycle. There are rewards and bonuses for excellent performance. We are seeking a motivated and performance oriented team member who will be groomed for office management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical management and healthcare operations, ensuring that all financial transactions are processed efficiently and accurately. The role is diverse and you will be trained and given expansive training and experience in the full range of medical office billing and management. You will be a team member with other billers, AR and intake personnel. Intakes are essential to the billing experience as it begins with the right match to the right provider given credentialing and details for billing. The role will expose you to diverse duties to help expand your skills sets for a successful career in healthcare. Responsibilities Manage patient accounts from registration through billing and collections, ensuring timely and accurate processing of claims. Collaborate with medical staff to ensure proper documentation for billing purposes, adhering to JCAHO standards. Use Medisoft and Claim MD for revenue cycle management. Provide administrative support within the medical office, assisting with billing, intakes and insurance verifications. Analyze revenue cycle performance metrics and identify areas for improvement to enhance operational efficiency. Communicate effectively with patients regarding their accounts, resolving any issues or discrepancies promptly. Qualifications Previous experience in healthcare management or medical administrative support is required. Working in a team environment. Must have the ability to cover evenings or Saturdays on occasion. Must have own transportation to travel in between offices. Familiarity with revenue cycle processes, including billing, coding, and collections. Knowledge of JCAHO standards and regulations related to healthcare operations. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and staff professionally. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Evaluate and coordinate with outside vendors. This position is essential for maintaining the financial health of our organization while ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care through efficient revenue cycle management. The practice is in fast paced growth mode. The practice is busy and looking to develop key personnel in management positions.
