$60,000 - $70,000 A growing realestate and property management organization is seeking an Accounts Payable / Accounting Associate to join its accounting team. This position is ideal for someone with strong high-volume, full-cycle Accounts Payable experience who is looking to expand their accounting knowledge and grow into a future Staff Accountant role. This is a fast-paced environment requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Responsibilities Process high-volume accounts payable transactions, averaging 250+ invoices per week Perform full-cycle AP functions including invoice entry, coding, approval workflows, payment processing, check runs, ACH/EFT payments, Positive Pay, and vendor reconciliations Review invoices and supporting documentation for accuracy, proper entity/property allocation, GL coding, approvals, and supporting backup Assist with accounts receivable activities including cash receipts, billing support, collections, and account reconciliations Prepare bank reconciliations and assist with month-end close activities Enter journal entries and maintain accurate accounting records Support general ledger maintenance and account analysis Assist with financial reporting and various accounting projects Work closely with management to identify process improvements and enhance accounting accuracy Qualifications Minimum 3 years of hands-on accounting, bookkeeping, or accounts payable experience Demonstrated experience handling full-cycle Accounts Payable in a high-volume environment Strong understanding of: General ledger accounting Accrual and cash-basis accounting Expense coding and account classifications Prepaids and accruals Journal entries Bank reconciliations Financial statement concepts Strong attention to detail and ability to independently verify the accuracy of work Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills Ability to prioritize multiple properties, deadlines, and recurring accounting responsibilities Self-motivated with the ability to work independently Technical Skills Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, including: Pivot Tables VLOOKUPs Data Analysis Functions Microsoft Word proficiency required Experience with MRI and/or Yardi Voyager highly preferred Education Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Relevant accounting experience will be considered in lieu of a degree Why Apply? Pay Details:
