Accounting Associate | Accounts Payable & Receivable Sierra Nevada Specialty Care | Reno, NV Full-Time | $20.00-$24.00 per hour, depending on experience Position Overview Sierra Nevada Specialty Care is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our team in Reno. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on accounting experience who enjoys variety, takes pride in accuracy, and wants to be part of a collaborative healthcare organization. In this role, you'll support day-to-day accounting operations across accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, general ledger activities, and financial reporting. You'll work closely with our accounting team to keep financial records accurate and organized while helping ensure payments, receivables, and other transactions are processed efficiently. What You'll Do Accounts Payable (AP) Review, code, and process vendor invoices Process accurate and timely vendor payments Reconcile accounts payable transactions and research discrepancies Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Accounts Receivable (AR) Prepare and issue invoices Process incoming payments, including checks, ACH, and credit card transactions Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts Reconcile accounts and research billing discrepancies Maintain accurate aging reports General Accounting Support Complete bank, credit card, and account reconciliations Assist with general ledger entries and financial reporting Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation Assist with budget variance tracking and reporting Support internal and external audit processes Assist with additional accounting projects as needed What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar accounting role, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or general accounting Strong understanding of basic accounting principles Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to stay organized and manage multiple priorities Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently while also collaborating as part of a team Preferred Qualifications Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software Previous payroll processing or payroll support experience Why Join Sierra Nevada Specialty Care?
