This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of financial record-keeping, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, experience with various financial software systems, and a proactive approach to maintaining the integrity of financial data. As a key member of our finance team, you will support operational efficiency and contribute to strategic decision-making through precise financial management. Duties Manage the full cycle of bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations. Prepare and record journal entries, ensuring adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and company policies. Reconcile balance sheets, general ledger accounts, and subsidiary ledgers regularly to maintain accurate financial records. Utilize accounting software platform such as QuickBooks, to process transactions efficiently. Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures with precision and timeliness. Conduct detailed account analysis and prepare financial reports for management review. Handle confidential information with integrity while ensuring compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and other regulatory standards. Assist with budgeting processes, tax preparation, and audit support as needed. Support data entry tasks with high accuracy using advanced Excel functions for data analysis and reporting purposes. Maintain organized documentation of all financial transactions and correspondence for audit readiness. Skills Extensive experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks Strong understanding of GAAP principles and governmental accounting standards where applicable. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills including data analysis and spreadsheet management. Knowledge of payroll processing systems like ADP or UltiPro along with timekeeping tools such as Kronos. Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements for internal controls over financial reporting. Excellent numeracy skills combined with attention to detail for accurate account reconciliation and journal entries. Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining confidentiality at all times. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments and supporting customer service initiatives related to billing or account inquiries.
