This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working through account details, and helping make sure billing is accurate and accounts are resolved appropriately. In this role, you'll work with both insurance and patient accounts and will be responsible for a variety of medical billing and accounts receivable functions, including claims, payment posting, EOB review, adjustments, statements, and account follow-up. You'll also assist patients with billing questions and payment arrangements, so we're looking for someone who can balance accuracy and productivity with professional, helpful communication. What You'll Do Prepare, review, and send patient statements Assist patients with billing questions and help establish payment plans when appropriate Review EOBs and accurately post payments and adjustments Enter charges and submit clean claims to primary and secondary insurance carriers Post and reconcile patient and third-party payments Review refunds, adjustments, and account discrepancies and make appropriate corrections Follow up on outstanding account balances and payment discrepancies Maintain accurate account documentation and billing records Research billing issues and work through them to resolution Communicate professionally with patients, insurance carriers, and members of the Revenue Cycle team What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are important, along with a working knowledge of the medical billing process, basic coding, medical terminology, and
CPT/ICD-10
codes. Qualifications High school diploma or GED Two years of experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role preferred Medical office experience or comparable education through a medical billing program Knowledge of medical billing processes, medical terminology, and
CPT/ICD-10
codes Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to research account issues, identify discrepancies, and work toward resolution The experience and education requirements above preserve the qualifications from your existing job description rather than making the position more restrictive.
