Job Description

Capital Region Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to support our Business Office in the timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and deposits. This role is critical to the smooth financial operation of our center and reports directly to the Administrative Director. A successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of accounting or bookkeeping work experience. Must be detail oriented, with accurate data entry skills; must have effective verbal and written communication skills; must maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
Code and enter approved invoices into accounting software. Prepare vendor payments (checks, credit card, web), including backup documentation. Daily payment posting. Reconcile monthly vendor statements and resolve outstanding account balances. Record daily deposits and maintain accurate accounting ledgers. Assist with mail sorting, occasional bank runs, and answering business office phones. Support inter-company reconciliations and contribute to cash flow projections. Continuously improve A/P processes with attention to accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) preferred. Proficient in Excel and other accounting database systems. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask under pressure. Must maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism. Why Join Us?
