Job Description
Pride Flooring Services is seeking an experienced Construction Bookkeeper to join our team. This is an on-site position for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with a strong background in construction accounting. We are looking for someone who understands the unique financial demands of the construction industry and can confidently manage day-to-day accounting functions while supporting multiple active projects. This is not an entry-level bookkeeping position—prior construction bookkeeping experience is required. Responsibilities Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Process vendor invoices and reconcile vendor statements Prepare customer invoices, progress billings, and final billings Track job costs and allocate expenses to the appropriate projects Process lien waivers, subcontractor compliance documents, certificates of insurance, and vendor paperwork Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and monthly statements Assist with payroll processing and employee records Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding receivables Maintain accurate financial records and organized project documentation Work closely with project managers, purchasing, and operations to ensure accurate project financial reporting Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years of construction bookkeeping experience Must be proficient in QuickBooks Desktop Contractor Edition Strong understanding of construction accounting and job costing Experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance Experience with progress billing, retainage, lien waivers, and subcontractor documentation Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced construction environment Strong communication and problem-solving skills Self-motivated with the ability to work independently Preferred Qualifications Experience with certified payroll and prevailing wage projects Experience working for a commercial contractor or specialty trade contractor Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Health insurance available after the probationary period Paid holidays and paid time off Stable, full-time, year-round employment Professional office environment Opportunity for long-term growth with an established commercial flooring contractor serving the Tri-State area for more than 30 years Only candidates with prior construction bookkeeping experience and proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop Contractor Edition will be considered.
