Job Description
West Genesee has an immediate opening for an Account Clerk I / Payroll in our Business Office. This is a full-time, 12-month position. This role manages end-to-end payroll operations, including but not limited to: verifying weekly time cards, updating personnel changes, inputting accurate data for final processing, balancing key district fiscal reports, tax withholdings, and retirement system submissions, and other responsibilities as assigned. Job Qualifications Candidates must meet the minimum qualifications established by the Onondaga County Department of Personnel (Civil Service) for the title of Account Clerk I as listed below.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
One (1) year of full time work experience, or its part time equivalent, which must include as a regularly occurring function of the job some financial account keeping duties, such as reconciling bank statements, posting to ledgers, making entries to journals, checking vouchers and purchase orders for arithmetical accuracy and completeness; or, the processing and maintenance of fiscal transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management and statistical data and records. OR Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university with an Associate's Degree in Business Administration or Finance. Successful completion of three (3) semester credit hours in college level Accounting, Business Administration or Finance from a regionally accredited college, university, or business school.Employment Conditions New York State Education Department Clearance:
